Note Sony: Dual Camera in iPhone 7 Plus?

Sony could potentially have a significant indication of a dual-lens camera in the iPhone delivered 7 Plus. The company wants to supply "a major smartphone maker" with its advanced camera modules this year.

It is still unclear what Apple is planning for its iPhone. 7 A first more or less clear reference could be noisy Xperia Blog now, however, the hardware partner Sony have delivered. Speaking to investors Sony CFO Kenichiro Yoshida said to have revealed that a dual-lense camera of the company in 2016 in one unit "a leading smartphone manufacturer" is to be used. Over the past few days, reports have accumulated, after which the Plus version of the iPhone could be 7 equipped with a dual camera. Dual Camera = better zoom and more light

Further advantages result for a dual-lense camera for photos in dark environments because two lenses, two sensors can capture more light, ideally as a single lens.

Already on Tuesday, the Taiwanese Digitimes magazine had reported that several camera manufacturers from China and Japan have supplied various dual Lense cameras for testing at Apple. In early January had become also announced that Apple has apparently filed a patent for a new dual-camera system. Whether the new camera on the end but actually finds 7 Plus for targeted September release in iPhone or at a later model, is at present unfortunately still unclear. Sony itself expects claims to be the way in 2017 so that dual cameras will prevail in smartphones on a broad front.
