Samsung applies brand names "Galaxy S8"

The day will come when Samsung will miss a new name for its top smartphones. 2017 but it is not so far, the upcoming flagship will be called Samsung Galaxy S8. This is at least suggested by the application for a trade mark which the Korean company has now submitted.

Already in the last week, Samsung has submitted to the US Patent Office a request, which the authority has now published. There is little surprise about a new smartphone named Galaxy S8. From other parts of the world similar applications have not yet appeared - but it is to be expected that also these will come, Phone Arena reports, citing the Dutch side Galaxyclub.nl.

Samsung: Also applications for Galaxy S8 Plus or Galaxy S8 Edge?

Exciting questions are at the moment, whether there will be more applications from Samsung for a Galaxy S8 Plus or a Galaxy S8 Edge. Such registrations - or even if they do not happen - would provide more insight as to what is to be expected of the upcoming top models of the Koreans for the release. At the moment, there is just one thing to say: the upcoming top-of-the-line models from Samsung will again be available under the Galaxy S brand.

Exciting is also still, when the Samsung Galaxy S8 for now its release will celebrate. After rumors of late last year talked of an appointment only in April, it looked a few days ago as if this date would now be confirmed. New rumors, however, Samsung see with the new Galaxy S8 in the luggage to the MWC 2017 in Barcelona to travel. The world's largest smartphone show takes place at the end of February.
